WinRar

WinRAR is an archiving program that allows user to extract or compress data into a single .zip or.rar file. WinRAR allows users to so compress rarely accessed files to save space or save time when emailing multiple files by compressing the files into one. Users can create file systems within the .zip or .rar files to further organize data.

Creating an Archive:
1. Right click on your desktop and navigate to new
2. Navigate the Cursor to WinRAR Archive
3. You will be prompted to give a name for the WinRAR file
4. Drag and drop files in to the WinRAR file
5. After you’re done, you will have a compressed Zip File which you can use for later use

Now that you have learned how to make an archive, here’s how to extract an archive:

Extracting an Zipped File
1. Find the Zipped file that you want to Unzip
2. Right click the file
3. Navigate to Extract Here. (You can click on Extract Files to choose other options like output destination, etc.)
4. If you chose Extract Here, your file(s) should be in the same location as the Archive
